This book is based on a trip I took back to my grandparents'. I had been looking forward to seeing all the old family photos and was told, instead, that everything was torn out of albums and burned. My grandfather feared persecution by the invading communists. He still had the empty photo albums with photo corners and spots where photos were once glued.
