Hoping he'll be home soon. It has only been a day and feels like an eternity.

Legality and Gourmet Value of Your Pet Cat Meat
The man pulled over by the cops last weekend with the marinating, meowing cat in the trunk of his car brought a few questions to mind. Does cat work marinated with chili infuse oil? Should it still be meowing and complaining with dampened, infused fur in the trunk of the car and marinating at the same time? There's also the question of legality...
Slate Magazine does a fine job in its cat food article running through some fine print on legality of pet eating in various States.
Needless to say the police confiscated the cat, , and put it up for adoption. See its second of nine lives at Weird News and CBS News.
"Rubbing the cat with chili-infused oil, while not specifically addressed, is also a violation of the state's [New York] general cruelty law, which prohibits torture."

Letters from Frank - Cat Paw Awaits Masao Yamamoto Photography
Art of Cute Animals. Etheral and mysterious works of everyday. These vintage art photos allude to snapshots with subject matter dogeared corners and vernacular and at the same time the rigorous formal explorations of context and composition moves it the realm of something much finer. Masao Yamamoto

Cuteness: Publicity Shy Animals
In this day of over exposure, even animals, beastly and tame, are shying away from the camera and, ultimately, being put on the internet. See two examples below:
A squirrel-y squirrel being even more squirrel-y than usual. He started giving the camera dirty looks (what was perceived by the human photographer) as the camera was being pulled out of the bag then said squirrel tried to dart out of camera view.
This specimen quickly averted the flash of the camera.
He was forewarned by the red flashing autoread/redeye reduction light that comes before the strobe. Note the converse shoe tip to the left of the cat's (Malted Milk the Cat) right paw. That's the butcher waiting to get filling for his special English meat pie. That didn't seem to bother the cat as much as having its picture taken.
